ASDARTS

For years the Bosch CDR tool is the unique market leader in North America for reading EDR (Event Data Recorder) Data out of cars involved into accidents. It supports meanwhile more than 10 OEM's in North America while the tools market coverage is constantly growing for years.

But now times changing. The Bosch tool is now not only a tool for the North American market but also adds up with vehicle coverage of other markets like Australia and Europe. In the past year, Bosch added besides their global coverage for all Chrysler and Jeep vehicles also coverage for a majority of the Volvo cars and also Lancia vehicles.

All products and a current price list can be found under products or as downloadable file: asDARTS-Pricelist.

The CDR Tool is a commercially available tool, allowing you to image crash data directly from all supported vehicles giving you a detailed report of critical data parameters leading up to and during a crash. Some of the parameters include pre-crash data, vehicle speed, brake status, throttle position, ignition cycles, delta-V, seat belt status, and others.

asDARTS is together with its partners euDARTS and trDARTS all over Europe the one stop solution for advanced solutions in Event Data Recording (EDR) and Crash Data Retrieval (CDR) technology for Accident Reconstruction.

Crash Data Retrieval EURO Kit

The CDR System Starter Kit includes all cables and hardware needed to retrieve crash data from vehicles in Europe through the vehicle's DLC connector [1]. It does not include CDR direct connect cables and adapters required for connecting directly to an ACM or PCM. The CDR System Starter Kit was developed specifically as a low-cost entry to allow for the growing need for police departments, private-practice re-constructionist and insurance agencies to collect the crash data when inspecting vehicles. The CDR Starter System is also a low-cost way to have multiple CDR kits available for investigators.

Crash Data Retrieval EURO Cables

The CDR EURO Cables compliments the CDR EURO Kit. The CDR EURO Cables to retrieve EDR (Event Data Recorder) data directly from supported European cars; Chrysler Lancia and Volvo.

EUDARTS receives many requests; which European cables I han to buy .

We recommend the following European set of cables:

CDR 500 FlexRay Adapter and Accessory Cables

This new adapter is called the Bosch CDR 500. The CDR 500 enables the CDR Tool to retrieve data directly from ECUs with a FlexRay communications network.

This advanced technology is much different than traditional CAN or K-Line networks currently supported by the CDR Tool. This is an adapter to be used in conjunction with the current Bosch CDR Tool and will be needed for certain direct to ACM imaging.

The first application of the Bosch CDR 500 will be for select BMW and MINI vehicles sold in the USA and Canada. In the near future, the CDR 500 will be required for direct-to-model imaging on Audi and other OEM brands.

The CDR 500 Adapter Kit enables the CDR Tool to retrieve EDR data directly from ECUs with a FlexRay communications network. This advanced technology is much different than traditional CAN or K-Line networks currently supported by the CDR Tool.

The CDR 500 Adapter Kit must be used with the CDR Interface Module and the ACM Adapter

Kit includes: CDR 500 module, interface cable and USB cable

Accessing the EDR Data

To access EDR data from a Tesla vehicle you’ll need a Windows computer, the EDR Retrieval Hardware Kit, the Tesla EDR retrieval program and a MyTesla account

Report Service

Tesla currently provides a free online service at edr.tesla.com where users can generate reports from retrieved EDR data files. After registering at edr.tesla.com, the user may upload EDR data files from their computer and generate reports in a PDF format. These reports contain important information regarding data polarity, application limitations, and other data limitations that should be reviewed carefully by the user in the context of the facts of a given event.
