CDR Technician / Analyst Course UK/Ireland
2023 November AITS / Jeroen van Essen

AITS will be running an extra course at their venue in South Cerney. A four-day course for those who wish to analyze data from crashed vehicles using the Bosch crash data retrieval tool. You will learn how to describe the CDR system for the benefit of the Court. How can the downloaded data be interpreted in the context of other collision data collected at the scene? Identification of case-critical information. How to judge/assess the reliability and accuracy of the information.
South Cerney:
Next course November 9 - 12, 2026

EUDARTS TECHNICIAN CDR E-TRAINING
Learn the fundamentals of CDR at your own pace — from home or the office
EUDARTS now offers a certified CDR Technician/User training course through e-learning, giving you the flexibility to learn wherever and whenever it suits you.
The e-training introduces the principles of Event Data Recording (EDR) and provides step-by-step guidance on how to operate the Crash Data Retrieval (CDR) system.
By completing the course, you will gain the knowledge and practical understanding needed to use a CDR system confidently and professionally in the field.
Certification
To receive the EUDARTS CDR User Certificate, you must:
-
Complete the online quiz.
-
Complete and submit two CDR reports prepared by you.
An activated CDR device is required to produce your own reports. If you do not have access to a CDR device, EUDARTS can help you find a suitable solution.
The e-training can also be combined with our hands-on practical training, offered in conjunction with our Euro CDR Analyst classroom courses.
Why choose e-training?
Cost-effective and time-saving
Reduce travel costs and minimize time away from the workplace. Online learning allows you to develop your CDR knowledge without the expense and disruption of traditional classroom training.
Learn 24/7, wherever you are
Access the training whenever it fits your schedule. Learn at your own pace, repeat modules when necessary, and combine online learning with practical training.
Learn at your own pace
Not everyone learns in the same way or at the same speed. E-learning allows each participant to work through the material at a comfortable pace and revisit subjects whenever needed.
Theory combined with practical skills
A computer cannot replace practical experience. That is why EUDARTS certification requires both a positive quiz result and two CDR reports prepared by the student. This ensures that participants can apply their knowledge in practice.

CDR Crash Data Retrieval Analyst Course
The first standing European combined CDR Data User/Analyst course available offers the collision reconstructionist a complete insight into the function of the automobile Event Data Recorder (EDR) function or subcomponent, its history, and evolution, as well as expanded interpretation skills enabling the application of a Bosch Crash Data Retrieval (CDR) Tool-generated report to situational complete crash reconstruction. Our European training is specially written with a European application, European validations, and European legislation and contains mostly European and some US examples.
We will work up from a police point of view; we have already done about 40 court cases. That’s why the EURO course gives investigators the necessary information to describe the EDR system to European laymen (i.e., client, court, public), to explain the CDR report in the context of the case, to identify any case-critical information, and to judge/assess the reliability and accuracy of that information.
After the training, we will continue to support your police force or your organization with future problems, validations, and issues.
Using traditional reconstruction techniques such as momentum applications, an understanding of delta-V and PDOF, and admissibility hearing issues unique to this technology as the basis for the course objectives, the CDR Data Analyst Certification course is both a natural extension of the CDR Technician training and an expansion of a reconstructionist’s skill set.
EUDARTS continues to offer unparalleled detailed training and support on the Bosch CDR Tool for reconstruction applications. The current content of the CDR Data Analyst’s Course covers the very latest in crash data from mostly European models: GM, Chrysler, Ford, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Mazda, Suzuki, BMW, Volvo, and others, through the latest version.
